A lot of hazards and problems may exist between Point A and Point B: bad, washed-out, blocked or slippery roads … highway construction zones … sharp curves … confusing mazes of one-way streets … or major storms, just to name a few.
The most direct route may not always be the most efficient – or the safest. Driving a big commercial vehicle around hairpin turns is no picnic. Smashing into a bridge or a big tree branch because you haven’t checked the height of your vehicle won’t exactly make your day either.
As much as you can, please plan ahead. Don’t just wait to cross that bridge until you come to it!
