Toe the Line

Safety is a team responsibility, individual by individual.
In this parasailing situation, for instance, the person in the air must: follow instructions ... be secured properly in well-maintained equipment ... and avoid horseplay and risks.  The boat operator needs to keep checking that the line is secured, and that the boat is on a safe course and doesn't crash on a reef, beach itself, or strike other craft.
In much the same way, we all need to trust each other to stay alert, to follow all safety precautions, and to do right by everyone - not only ourselves, but those next to us and even people we may not even see in other areas. Just think about hazards involving fires and hazardous chemicals, for instance.
