One of the keys to safe driving is good health. It keeps you alert. It prevents disease, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and heart attacks. It helps you sleep soundly, improves judgment and generally provides a more positive outlook. Some tips:
If you smoke, quit.
Exercise every day. Keep your weight at a sensible level. The more youre in shape, the less likely you are to suffer a sprain, strain or other injury.
Eat a healthy diet. Go for lighter foods whole-grain cereals, salads, fruits, vegetables, light sandwiches for lunch, and dinners with grilled or broiled fish or lean meats. Avoid fried items or those with heavy cream sauces. For snacks, try pretzels and fruit bars, not cookies or cakes. Drink water or tea not sugary sodas.
Get plenty of sleep. Experts recommend seven to nine hours a night.
Wear your seatbelt at all times!
Keep yourself on your toes dont end up flat on your back!
